Computerized Electro-Dermal Stress AnalysisUsing the knowledge of 5,000 years of Traditional Oriental Medicine, along with modern physics and chemistry, Computerized Electro Dermal Screening measures the balance or imbalance of energy within the body, even down to the cellular level. This is accomplished by a simple, non-invasive test, using points found along the meridians. Computerized Electro Dermal Screening is used to conduct a comprehensive meridian stress evaluation, and to determine appropriate means for achieving healthy balance. The first step in this process is to measure the electrical conductivity at responsive points on the skin (typically on the hands and feet). The locations of the test points are the same as for the acupuncture points. The measurements are recorded and provide a profile of a present condition. According to Oriental and European medical research, the acupuncture points are related to the body's organs and organ systems. As you move away from, or toward health, the condition of any particular organ or system can be sensed at the points. Major groups of points are connected into channels, or meridians. Twenty of these meridians begin or end on the hands and feet. As a result, stress associated with the corresponding organs may be surveyed using the indicated points. Each pressure point in the body provides specific data, based upon resistance to electrical flow. The CEDS technician can then determine a positive response with this added information. This procedure has a wide variety of applications ranging from chiropractic, dental, nutrition and acupuncture to the veterinary sciences. Modern science views the body as a chemical structure which is managed and controlled by energetic action. In 1994 the Nobel Prize was awarded to Alfred G. Gillman of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Martin Rodbell of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences for discovering how the cells of the human body communicate with each other by sending and receiving "radio" signals. Nobel Laureate David Baltimore, a molecular biologist at Rockefeller University in New York, calls the signal process "the interaction that controls cell behavior." Robert Bell, the head of the Department of Molecular Cancer Biology at Duke University, states that, "signal transduction is the single most important unifying concept in modern day biology and medicine." Scientific research by material scientists, physicists, and medical doctors has established that the pathways of energy within the body can be accurately measured through electronic devices which use an ohmmeter. CEDS offers an advantage in finding solutions, such as fine tuning the athlete or balancing health problems that have lasted years. Health problems manifest themselves through changes in the energy pattern of the body which always precede chemical changes. **Computerized Electro Dermal Screening does not provide a medical diagnosis, treat, prevent or mitigate human disease. This device uses an ohmmeter to measure energy balances or imbalances at points on the skin. The energy is the Chi or life force that is described for acupuncture and acupressure. This device also has a database of items that can be selected by the operator to change the Chi. Each product has a low energy resonant signal that may balance or imbalance Chi at acupuncture or acupressure points on the skin.
